School Choice Vermont is a non-partisan, all volunteer organization supporting the preservation and strengthening of Vermont's tuitioning and school choice laws - giving Vermont kids access to schools that best fit their educational needs.

We are parents, educators, grandparents, former students, and community members.

During the 2012 legislative session we responded to legislative efforts to expand school choice under Act 150 by contacting legislators with a unified message of support - the legislation passed - and geographic boundaries have been removed from the former "regional choice" districts.

During the 2010 legislative session we grew from three politically diverse parents concerned about upcoming legislation to limit school choice, to hundreds of citizens across the political spectrum. By testifying at hearings, writing letters, lobbying our legislators, attending committee meetings and connecting with each other, we have created a network of active parents and educators who are effectively supporting lawmakers in their efforts to protect tuitioning and parent directed educational choices, including independent schools, and expand access to public school choice.
